San Diego, popularly known as the birthplace of California is the eighth-largest city in the United States. This second-largest city of California is located on the coast of Pacific Ocean in San Diego County of Southern California. It shares its border with Mexico and is approximately 190 km south of Los Angeles. Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo landed on the shore of San Diego in 1542, he was the first European explorer to land in California.
